Coverping SMS program
Coverping sends text messages about shift coverage to employees of businesses that use Coverping. This page explains how you get enrolled, what you'll receive, and how to stop.
How you get enrolled
- A manager at your workplace adds your name, role, and mobile number to your workplace's Coverping roster.
- Coverping sends you one text message asking for your consent. It reads:
Coverping for [Your Workplace]: your manager added you to the shift coverage list. Reply YES to get texts when a shift needs cover or when yours is covered. Reply STOP anytime to opt out.
- If you reply YES, you're enrolled and you'll receive this confirmation:
Coverping: You're set to receive shift coverage texts for [Your Workplace]. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.
- If you don't reply, nothing else is sent to you. Your manager may add you again later, which sends the opt-in message again.
Consent is yours alone. Your manager cannot opt you in, and only you can opt back in after you've opted out.
What you'll receive
Only messages about shift coverage at your workplace. Examples:
- When you need cover: "Got it, Maria. Cover needed for Thu Oct 16, 8am to 5pm at Midtown (hygienist). Reply YES to confirm or NO to cancel."
- When a coworker needs cover: "Coverping for [Your Workplace]: can you cover hygienist on Thu Oct 16, 8am to 5pm at Midtown? Reply YES or NO."
- If you're a manager, when someone offers to cover: "Dana Kim can cover Maria Lopez on Thu Oct 16, 8am to 5pm at Midtown. Reply YES to confirm or NO to keep looking."
- When it's settled: "Confirmed: you're covering Maria Lopez on Thu Oct 16, 8am to 5pm at Midtown. Thank you!" to the person covering, and "You're covered: Dana Kim has Thu Oct 16, 8am to 5pm at Midtown." to the person who asked.
Coverping does not send marketing or promotional messages. Message frequency varies with how often shifts need cover at your workplace. Message and data rates may apply.
How to stop
Reply STOP to any Coverping message. You'll get one confirmation:
Coverping: You've opted out of shift coverage texts for [Your Workplace]. No more messages will be sent. Reply YES to opt back in.
After that, Coverping sends you nothing unless you reply YES yourself. Your manager will see that you've opted out and may reach you another way for scheduling. STOPALL, END, UNSUBSCRIBE, and QUIT also work.
How to get help
Reply HELP to any Coverping message, or email help@coverping.com. The help reply reads:
